Le slammeur camerounais dont la notoriété traverse les frontières a officiellement sorti le 20 septembre 2023, le clip de ce titre très bien connu. Rodrigue Ndzana, r’N de ses initiales fait partie de ces artistes camerounais qui ont su se frayer un chemin dans un style musicale poétique appelé le slam. Bien que très présent sur scène et dans plusieurs initiatives locales qui visent à promouvoir le slam Camerounais notamment via le concept Slameroun, r’N revient sous le feu des projecteurs avec son titre à succès “C’est Monté, C’est Descendu”. Le slammeur camerounais a sorti ce mercredi 20 septembre 2023, le clip de cette chanson. Un travail de longue haleine qui a mobilisé plusieurs ressources pour sa réalisation. Message phare Dans ce titre intitulé : “C’est Monté, C’est Descendu”, l’amoureux de poésie décrit les réactions que la plupart des gens adoptent lors d’une réussite. r’N à travers ce titre démystifie les préjugés qui entourent la réussite et la célébrité. « Dans plusieurs sociétés lorsque des gens réussissent ils sont cités comme exemples, ils sont célébrés à travers des clips, ils sont des véritables modèles et leurs parcours sont cités mais chez nous, lorsque tu réussis, tu entends c’est monté, c’est descendu. C’est critique, on soupçonne le mal, les sectes. On ne voit jamais d’un bon œil les gens qui ont réussi grâce au travail. Et à la limite les gens se vantent d’être pauvre et de n’avoir rien fait de leurs vies alors qu’en fait nous devons juste encourager la réussite et juste montrer qu’on peut réussir comme telle personne. Ce titre est un pied de nez à ceux qui critiquent la réussite et c’est un appel à encourager la réussite des autres et plutôt travailler pour les ressembler ». Connu également pour le choix et la qualité des thématiques qu’il aborde dans ses slams, r’N est aujourd’hui décrit comme un artiste qui sensibiliser et conscientise les populations. Un véritable acteur de développement dans notre société.  Qui est r’N ? Née le 29 novembre 1982 à Douala, région du littoral du Cameroun, Rodrigue Ndzana est tout dabord un passionné de l’écriture. Comme il le dit, il débute ses pas sur le monde artistique en 2009 avec un livre avec un recueil des poèmes appelé : « Je t’aime en splash ». L’écrivain Camerounais et virtuose de slam poésie se découvre des 2010 dans le domaine dont il excelle le mieux aujourd’hui.  r’N est le fondateur du Nda slam, un véritable vivier de paroliers talentueux qui assure aujourd’hui la continuité dans l’excellence dans cet art très récent dans nos scènes artistiques. Mais qui épouse pourtant nos habitudes oratoires culturelles. Rodrigue Ndzana c’est aussi cet artiste engagé qui a fait honneur au Cameroun en véritable ambassadeur des arts et de la culture à la coupe d’Afrique de Slam Poésie (CASP). Cet artiste cumule les récompenses dans l’art oratoire. Tenez, Lauréat du Coca-Cola Slam Academy et de l’African Spoken Word, finaliste (et 3e au classement du jury) du grand prix mondial Le rêve africain, 2014 et champion 2016 du Grand Slam National au Cameroun. Dans le cadre de sa campagne contre les fléaux qui minent notre société, la Cameroonian Foundation for AIDS (CAMFAIDS) a également lance une croisade contre l’intolérance. L’organisation à base communautaire de lutte contre le VIH/SIDA, de promotion des droits humains et d’éducation sur les questions de genre et d’identité, qui poursuit sa campagne dans le cadre du projet dénommé : « TOGETHER » veut apporter sa contribution à l’édification d’une société ou les inégalités, l’intolérance, la discrimination et la stigmatisation ne feront plus autant de victimes.

Ladite caravane mobile a sillonné une trentaine de quartiers de la ville de Yaoundé. Ce 19 septembre 2023, il est exactement 11 heures au quartier Melen, lorsque le coup d’envoi de la caravane mobile est donné par Chantal Ngo Sende, Responsable de la cellule Genre à Horizons Femmes. Selon Chantal Ngo Sende, il est question de faire des descentes dans les rond points, carrefours et marchés des quartiers les plus populeux de la ville de Yaoundé, capitale du Cameroun afin de sensibiliser les populations sur les contours du travail domestique. La Responsable cellule Genre dit : « Il est question de faire un plaidoyer pour les droits des travailleurs domestiques parce que nous pensons que c’est un secteur d’activité qui a longtemps était négligé. C’est un secteur d’activité que tout le monde connait et sait ce que c’est le travail domestique mais dont on en parle très peu. Chacun d’entre nous a un travailleur domestique à la maison mais quand il est question de leurs droits on n’en parle pas suffisamment. Donc il est question pour nous de remettre ce débat sur la table, de valoriser ce métier qui loin de ce qui parait est la base de tous les autres secteurs d’activités. » Au quartier Melen, non loin du siège de Horizons Femmes, les agents de terrain vont à la rencontre des populations afin de leur passer le message. Christophe, jeune tenancier d’un bar dans les environs veut savoir de quoi il s’agit, il a directement les réponses à ses préoccupations. Lors des échanges avec les agents de terrain de Horizons Femmes, le jeune tenancier apprécie l’initiative mais souhaite que ce message soit répercuté au niveau des employeurs qui ont beaucoup d’argent. « Cette campagne a vraiment sa place mais je souhaite que vous alliez chez les employeurs qui ont beaucoup d’argent là, ce sont eux qui en majorité exploitent beaucoup les pauvres ménagers et gardiens qui travaillent chez eux. La plupart de plaintes des employés de maison viennent toujours de chez eux… » Dit-il. Après plus de 40 minutes de sensibilisation au lieu-dit Total Melen et ses environs, l’équipe de Horizons Femmes abord de son camion mobile s’est ensuite rendue du côté d’Obili, carrefour Biyem-Assi, marché acacia. Ambiance, animation avec des messages clés et partage des prospectus sur le travail domestique étaient en vitrine tout au long du trajet et ce qui a attiré de nombreux regards des populations de ces quartiers. A Biyem-Assi, au lieu-dit rond-point express, la caravane mobile a fait un stop. L’heure était aux échanges avec les passants dans la rue, des propriétaires des restaurants et débits de boissons et les descentes dans certains foyers. Chantal Ngo Sende de Horizons Femmes a indiqué que ce projet initié par l’OIT cadre avec les missions de leur organisation à base communautaire. Elle ajoute :« Ce qu’il faut dire ce qu’en plus des caravanes mobiles il ya des équipes qui font des descentes sur le terrain pendant la caravane, et sensibilisent les populations dans les domiciles donc avec cette stratégie nous pensons que la caravane mobile nous permettra de toucher une bonne partie de la population, et de transmettre un message que nous tenons vraiment à cœur et qui j’espère tombera dans les oreilles des personnes avisées. » Toute une journée dédiée à la sensibilisation des masses afin de tordre le cou au fléau d’exploitation, de maltraitance et abus sexuels qui sévissent dans le travail domestique notamment chez les jeunes filles et femmes. A titre de rappel, cette caravane mobile nationale organisée par l’Organisation Internationale du Travail (OIT) et ses différents partenaires d’implémentation à l’instar de l’organisation à base communautaire Horizons Femmes, entre dans le cadre d’un plaidoyer sur la revalorisation du travail domestique au Cameroun.  Un plaidoyer officiellement lancé le 16 juin 2023 à Yaoundé au cours d’un café parlementaire et d’une série d’activités dénommées : « les journées d’activisme en faveur de la main d’œuvre domestique » lancées le 10 juin de cette année. Qu’est ce que le travail domestique et ses différentes formes ? Le travail domestique désigne un ensemble de taches effectuées au sein ou pour le compte d’un ou de plusieurs ménages dans le cadre d’une relation de travail. Le travail domestique peut prendre plusieurs formes telles que : la garde d’enfants, le ménage, la cuisine, la lingerie, le repassage, le jardinage, le conducteur de maitre, l’auxiliaire de vie, la gouvernante/le majordome de maison. Quels sont les devoirs et les droits des travailleurs et travailleuses domestiques ? Conformément aux instruments juridiques nationaux (code du travail du 14 aout 1992-Decret du 10 juillet 1968 fixant les conditions générales d’emploi des domestiques et employés de maison) ; et aux NIT (Conventions No 189, No 202, No 87, No 98 et No 154 de l’OIT), les droits des travailleurs et travailleuses domestiques peuvent se regrouper en trois catégories. Activities to mark the 25th anniversary of the national telecommunications company, CAMTEL were officially launched on September 7, 2023, in Yaounde. Cameroon telecommunications company, CAMTEL, is 25 years old. The public leading telecommunications company created on the 8th of September 1998 celebrates its quarter-century with several achievements registered. These achievements were outlined in a press briefing granted by the General Manager of CAMTEL on Thursday, 7th September 2023 at the Head office of the company in Yaounde. Media practitioners, senior officials, and staff of CAMTEL as well as renowned artist musicians such as Stanley Enow, and Indira Baboke took part in this launch of activities. 25 years of epic story In her introductory statement, Mrs. Yah Sunday Judith Epse Achidi said the history of the Cameroon telecommunications centers on its missions, activities, and performance. She saluted the work accomplished by her predecessors who inscribed their names in the history of the company, today known for its quality of services nationwide. “…But CAMTEL’s history, like that of any other organization, is first and foremost a history of people. That is why, as we celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary, I would like to spare warm and grateful thoughts for all those who made CAMTEL’s history since the company’s inception. I would like to spare a thought for the many employees who are no longer with us, either because they have retired or because they have left this world. Special thoughts go to those who, before me, stood at the helm of this company. Who can forget the leadership of Mr Emmanuel NGUIAMBA NLOUTSIRI?  Who can forget the tenacity of Mr David NKOTO EMANE? Of course; no one has forgotten the individual contributions of all those who have gone before us, and who contributed enormously to the development of our company: NGUIMBA NLOUTSIRI, NKOTO EMANE, MAGA, TANG ENOH, Nfon MUKETE, and all the others. Judith Yah Sunday Epse Achidi said: “People tend to forget too often that it is CAMTEL that manages the 12,000-kilometre national optical fiber backbone, which will soon be extended by 4,000 more kilometers. It is too often forgotten that it is CAMTEL that manages the four landing points of the optical fibre submarine cables rolled out in the country, and which enable Cameroon to be in contact with the entire world. People forget all too often that CAMTEL provides this optical fiber infrastructure to all operators and a wide range of organizations. Finally, it is too often forgotten that CAMTEL now holds three operating licenses for fixed-line telephony, mobile telephony, and transport over optical fibre.” She added: “You must have gathered by now that, as we celebrate our 25th anniversary, CAMTEL does not see itself as the last survivor of an old world. CAMTEL is not driven by melancholy. CAMTEL is simply living with the times and proudly celebrating its 25th anniversary.” The General Manager equally mentioned the launch two years ago of SIM cards dubbed BLUE. CAMTEL’s patroness however acknowledged much is still to be done in the days ahead to satisfy customers and the public at large, yet the company is driven by the desire to always provide quality services. Since her appointment at the helm of this prestigious public company on December 14, 2018, Mrs Yah Sunday has put at the forefront two main concepts, that is: customer centricity and change management which she has been striving for five years now.  The first female General Manager of the national telecommunications company whose dynamism is visible through palpable actions carried on the field is more than ever animated by the zeal to offer quality telecom services at affordable rates. CAMTEL’s new product lines will be presented on this occasion; January 2024: Distribution of the commemorative coffee table book; February-March 2024: organization of “CAMTEL Tech Event”, aimed at the student community on the campuses of the universities of Yaounde I, Douala, Buea, Dschang, and Ngaoundere; March 2024: Roundtable conference on the role of women in telecommunications over the past 25 years; April-May 2024: organization of “CAMTEL Care”, a corporate social responsibility initiative targeting local communities, and award of medals to staff; August-September 2024: Major advertising campaign and special 25th-anniversary sales promotion; September 2024: organization of a gala night, dubbed “CAMTEL Gala”. The Cameroonian Foundation for AIDS, CAMFAIDS has launched a nationwide campaign that aims at tackling injustice and inequalities. The campaign launched is within the framework of its project dubbed: “Together”. Over 30 pupils and students have been granted sets of didactic materials ahead of the 2023-2024 back to school. As of tradition, the international association known as SEKTEURA has organized the “Realengo Prize”. The “Realengo Prize is an annual compensation programme targeting orphans, children from needy and vulnerable families who have registered good performances during the school year. At the Essos neighbourhood in Yaounde, Cameroon’s nation capital, where the association has recorded several philanthropic actions, the 7th edition of the Realengo Prize was launched. Thanks to persons of goodwill and the founder of the association SEKTEURA, sets of didactic materials were handed over to more than 30 pupils and students. The laureates were officially compensated and celebrated as well during a ceremony that took place on August 27, 2023. Books, textbooks, school bags, boxes of chalk, pens, and pencils just to name these few items were handed over to pupils of the nursery school, those in classes 1 to 6 in the Anglo-Saxon subsystem education; Sil to Cours moyen 2 in the francophone subsystem education and to students of 6eme to Terminal. Added to the didactic materials as it is always the case, the founder and promoter of the association SEKTEURA, Mr. Fanguem Leopold has granted examination and university fees to pupils and students who are part of the Realengo programme. The examination and university fees range from 5000 to 50,000 Francs CFA depending on the various classes. Audrey Tchanda, one of the beneficiaries, said thanks to SEKTEURA, she will not stress much about her university fees, as school resumes next October. The young female student equally acknowledged that the 50,000 Francs CFA received from the international association was a relief to her parents. The 7th edition of the Realengo Prize just like the previous ones had an informative session on the agenda. This year’s session focused on the role played by parents in the success of their children in school. In order to sensitize parents and children as well as local authorities and guests invited, SEKTEURA in partnership with IDAY Cameroun made a presentation on the topic and shared best practices with parents, pupils, and students. Speaking on behalf of the President of IDAY Cameroun, the technical adviser of this network of organizations specialized in education said the aim of this presentation was to help parents use the appropriate methods or strategies in the follow-up of their kids. Georges Adarayel Youssoufa said most parents fail in the education of their children, simply because they have abandoned their roles as main educators and think 100 percent of the tasks are covered by teachers in school. The 40-minute session ended up with several positive contributions registered and later followed a quiz session to test the abilities of the participants. According to Emile Billy Tchoufac who represented the founder of the association SEKTEURA, the theme chosen for this year’s edition comes in to recall to parents their contributions to the success of their children. He pointed out that SEKTEURA has free-of-charge activities and programs put in place by the founder. Mr. Tchoufac outlined the fact that SEKTEURA offers breakfast on a daily basis to pupils and students of the Essos neighbourhood; the association has a group of young tutors who monitor children registered within the Realengo programme and also grants health assistance to some families. The initiative launched several years ago by the founder and promoter of the association SEKTEURA is mainly aimed at revamping needy children and vulnerable families who aspire to a better future.
