The Yaounde conference center that plays host to the national assembly has welcomed a series of parliamentary activities on March 22, 2021.
Activities of the day kicked-off with a plenary sitting presided over by the just re-elected house speaker, Honorable Cavaye Yeguie Djibril. The main objective of this plenary session was to set in motion the nine committees of the national assembly.

Amongst the bills tabled at the national assembly are: the bill to authorize the president of the republic to extent the effect of the Cameroon-European union economic partnership agreement to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The bill to authorize the president of the republic to ratify the military framework agreement between the government of the republic of Cameroon and the government of the republic of turkey was equally tabled alongside the bill to authorize the president of the republic to ratify the Marrakech treaty to facilitate access to published works for persons who are blind, visually impaired or otherwise print disabled.
The bill to authorize the president of the republic to ratify the agreement between the republic of Cameroon and the federative republic of Brazil, on the transfer of persons sentenced to deprivation of liberty; the bill to authorize the president of the republic to ratify the extradition agreement between the republic of Cameroon and the federative republic of Brazil and that on the Georgetown agreement featured at the session.
All the bills stated will be defended by the various competent ministers as the session unfolds.
